He's not one to shy away from a bit of drama, but Tindall insists he's not seeking controversy. 'I'll always offer my hand to the opposition manager,' he said. 'It's all about winning, and I'm very passionate about it. Sometimes it gets frustrating, but I'll certainly hold my hand out to him.'
The hoodie saga? It was all planned before the game. A fan asked Tindall to wear it if Newcastle won, and he agreed. 'There was a lot of talk about it before the game, but it was pre-planned,' he said.
Tindall is confident heading into the match. Newcastle's recent victories over Manchester United and Crystal Palace have put them in top form. 'When you're winning games, it becomes difficult to change the team unless players aren't performing,' he said. 'The team does pick itself.'
Newcastle sit third in the table, five points ahead of Villa, both vying for a place in the final Champions League qualifying places. 'Every time we've been to Villa Park, the atmosphere has been very good,' Tindall said. 'We have to deal with the crowd, just as teams do at St James'. But Newcastle are in a good moment and delivering good performances. Now, they need to be consistent.
Meanwhile, Tindall was also asked about his relationship with the Toon support. He's a cult hero, but he doesn't read too much into it. 'The love has always been there for me, the manager, and the team,' he said. 'Everyone needs to step up, and they have done that.'
Tindall will remain in charge on Sunday as manager Eddie Howe continues to recover from pneumonia. 'There's no fresh update since Wednesday's game,' Tindall said. 'He's recovering at the minute, and as soon as there's any more updates, the fans and media will be the first to know.'
Tindall has a 100 percent record since taking over, but he's quick to deflect praise. 'We're a close-knit group,' he said. 'We know what's expected of each other day in, day out, and they're all fantastic staff. Their roles have remained the same.'
He concluded, 'It's not about myself or the coaching staff. It's a real team effort from everybody.'
