"It all depends on the players we want and their options," Guardiola said. "If they have many choices, I'm sure they'll lean towards the Champions League. Maybe some players will still come, but others might not because of the lack of Champions League football."
"The club doesn't have separate lists for Champions League and relegation battle," Guardiola clarified. "For all clubs, it's better to be in the Champions League than the Europa League. You have to earn it."
Guardiola also hinted at a shift in transfer criteria, with player fitness and reliability becoming key factors. "The most important thing is to analyze who will be more reliable," he said. "If a player isn't reliable, we'll need more depth in the squad."
"More than the quality, we need reliability," Guardiola emphasized. "Our squad this season has been exceptional, but we haven't had the consistency we need."
