Speaking to the media, McGinn thanked the fans for their never-ending support and fired back at the doubters who thought Villa wouldn't make it this far in the competition, even pushing PSG to the final whistle.
The 30-year-old described the atmosphere at Villa Park as the loudest he's ever experienced during his time with the club. With European qualification on the line, he's imploring the fans to bring the decibel levels up once more.
McGinn acknowledged the grueling schedule these past few weeks, with games against Paris, Southampton, and another home match against the Magpies just three days later. But he's confident the fans will be there in full force, and they'll need every bit of support to edge out a win.
“We’re going to need the same atmosphere,” McGinn warned. “It’s going to be a really tough game on Saturday, and I can’t stress enough how important it is.”
With 18 unbeaten home games under their belt in all competitions, a victory against Newcastle is crucial for Villa's hopes of securing a spot in next season's Champions League. McGinn will once again lead his troops onto the pitch in front of the home crowd, and a win could see them climb to 5th place in the Premier League standings.
