After a devastating Champions League exit at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, Villa need to bounce back quickly if they're to have any hope of qualifying for Europe next season. Emery has no time for dwelling on the past, and he's already looking ahead to the match against the Magpies.
“It’s done. We’ve taken our experiences from that game and we’re moving on,” Emery told reporters. “We’re focusing on the Premier League now, and tomorrow’s match is our priority.”
Villa face a tough task against Newcastle, who are currently in top form. Emery knows that anything can happen in the final games of the season, but he’s not counting Newcastle out just yet.
“Newcastle are performing very well, they’re winning matches, and they’re feeling confident. They have five points more than us, so it’s a big game for us,” Emery said.
Despite the challenges ahead, Emery has some good news to share. Villa have a fully fit squad for the match, with key players like Andrés García, Donyell Malen, and Leon Bailey all back in action.
“We’re going to train this afternoon and test the players to see how they’re feeling,” Emery said. “We’re almost at full strength, and that’s a big boost for us.”
