Mateta, along with Marc Guehi and Ismaila Sarr, scored the goals for the visitors in the match.
When asked about the team's performance, Mateta expressed his satisfaction, saying, "We are tired, we gave everything! We've played a lot of games, and we deserve this win, especially to finish (the international break) with this win."
Mateta credited the team's success to their hard work and the support of their manager and staff, saying, "We work very hard, we have a fantastic manager and fantastic staff. We work with them, we watched the videos (before the match), and we did everything on the pitch – and that's why it's working."
He also acknowledged the team's commitment to each other, saying, "We sacrificed a lot. We know we have to play all the games. I think we played all the games with (mostly) the same team. We sacrificed for the team, and we know we can depend on each other."
Mateta concluded by expressing his confidence in the team's abilities, saying, "We have a great group, great staff, a great club – and hopefully we'll keep winning."
