The win was a welcome boost for Forest, who had been struggling. They are now second-from-bottom in the league, but are only one point behind 17th-placed Burnley and three behind 14th-placed Newcastle United.
Dyche was happy with the team's performance, but knows that there is still work to be done. "It's a sign of the mentality changing," he said. "We were on a run of one loss in five now." He emphasized the importance of continuing to grow and improve as a team.
Leeds United, who are promoted to the Premier League, suffered a fourth defeat in five league games. Their manager, Daniel Farke, acknowledged that the team has to learn to make the most of small margins in the top flight.
Farke said, "Football games on this level are decided with small details. We have to make sure we are more switched on." He also noted that the team has conceded too many goals in their last two away games.
The win for Forest gives them a much-needed boost, but Dyche knows that there is still much work to be done to improve the team's performance.
