The same duo combined again for Burnley's second goal, with Hartman playing a cross-field pass that Flemming tapped into the net. Wolves were back on level terms when Jørgen Strand Larsen scored from the penalty spot, but the hosts were stunned when Marshall Munetsi headed home a loose ball just before halftime.
The second half was marked by an edgy atmosphere, with both teams struggling to create clear chances. However, Burnley looked more likely to score, with Flemming and Josh Cullen testing Sam Johnstone on two occasions. Wolves had a close call when Arias' free-kick hit the underside of the bar.
Both teams made changes in an attempt to change the game, but neither had the desired effect. The hosts pushed hard for a winner, with Jean-Ricner Bellegarde's volley forcing Dúbravka to make a save. Just when it seemed like a point was secured, Lyle Foster was played through on goal by Hannibal and scored the winner in the 95th minute, securing a vital three points for Burnley.
The win lifts Burnley out of the relegation zone, while Wolves remain at the bottom of the table, increasing the pressure on manager Vítor Pereira.
