Yaakobishvili has a strong connection to Barcelona, having emerged from the Blaugrana youth academy after joining in 2018 from Atlétic Sant Just. He is considered one of the most promising young players in the Barcelona youth system, and he has already signed a contract until 2028.

During the previous season, Yaakobishvili played for both Juvenil A and Barça Atlétic. With Juvenil A, he won several titles, including the Liga División de Honor, Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Youth League. At Barça Atlétic, he made his professional debut in the Primera RFEF league, playing against Tarazona on matchday six.
