During an interview, Frimpong expressed his happiness about reuniting with Wirtz, who helped him settle in when he first joined Leverkusen in 2021. He mentioned that having Wirtz by his side makes him feel like they are "doing it all over again."
Frimpong has had a successful four-and-a-half-year stint at Leverkusen, winning numerous trophies, including the Pokal, Super Cup, and Bundesliga. He also won the treble with Celtic and the double with Leverkusen. Now, he aims to win more trophies with Liverpool.
As Frimpong joins Liverpool, he will have to fill big shoes left by Trent Alexander-Arnold. He will compete alongside talented fullback Conor Bradley and will soon be joined by Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez, who is set to complete his medical this week.
