According to Forest's website, Hennessey said, "It's an amazing achievement. The Golden Glove award usually goes to a team in the top six, and often to the champions. For Matz to have won it is incredible, and we are all very happy for him."
Hennessey also highlighted Sels' consistency throughout the season. "I've always believed that consistency is key in the Premier League," he said. "Matz was outstanding throughout the campaign, not just in the league but also in our cup progress. He was superb in the penalty shootouts."
He praised Sels' all-around skills, saying, "Every part of his game is excellent. He proved that this season by handling everything well - shot-stopping, coming off his line to catch, dealing with set pieces, and making good decisions. For me, he is one of the best goalkeepers in the league."
He also credited the Forest staff for Sels' success, saying, "In the Premier League, everything is quick, so for Matz to adjust the way he has, coming from the French league, is impressive. He has settled in really well and grown ever since."
He added, "Matz is a very hard worker who pushes himself every day. He's a pleasure to work alongside and is also willing to learn. Our goalkeeping coach, Rui Barbosa, is fantastic, and Matz is good at embracing the feedback and guidance he receives."
