In an interview, Monchi explained that his role will be secondary and distant, with him only providing guidance when needed.

Monchi noted that V Sports, the company that owns Aston Villa, has expanded its reach and now consists of three members: Nassef Sawiris, Wes Edens, and Michael Angelakis.

V Sports also owns other clubs, has investments in Portugal, and has partnerships with Real Unión, and is working towards creating a larger group similar to City Group.

Monchi's role will be a part of this expansion, but he emphasized that it will be a distant and on-demand consultancy.
